
Harford County woman charged with attempted murder after shooting husband
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office just announced that on January 23, at approximately 3:05 p.m., patrol deputies responded to the 700 block of Pickerel Place in Joppatowne for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the juvenile 911 caller and a female, later identified as the suspect, exiting the home.
One victim, identified as Joseph Milne, 35, of the same address, was located inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported by the Maryland State Police Medivac, to a trauma center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Early investigation indicates Milne and his wife, identified as Evelyn Milne, 34, were involved in an altercation that resulted in Evelyn shooting her husband.
Evelyn Milne was arrested at the scene and transported to the Harford County Detention Center where she was charged with 1st and 2nd degree attempted murder. After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Evelyn Milne remained at the detention center where she was being held without bail.
The Sheriff’s Office says that their investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
