Harry Rogers, KKK leader gets six years behind bars for driving through BLM protesters in Richmond
A man who readily admitted to being a leader in the Ku Klux Klan and who broadcasted live on Facebook on his way to a June 7th Black Lives Matter protest in Richmond, Virginia, and who was found guilty of mowing down BLM protesters with his truck once he arrived there, was sentenced to six years behind bars for cutting down three people with his KKK-adorned pickup truck.
Harry Rogers, 37, of Glen Allen, Virginia, was found guilty of six misdemeanor charges of simple assault, destruction of property and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. He was sentenced in court to one year in prison for each of the six charges, according to MSN.
In addition to those misdemeanors, the KKK leader is still looking at three felony counts of attempted malicious wounding, one count for each of the three individuals injured when he plowed through the crowd. Witnesses on the scene told police that Rogers revved his truck’s engine and simply drove through the protesters standing in the road.
Rogers’ truck was decorated with several stickers which included Confederate flags, “Guns Save Lives” and “Trump 2020.”
Police officers who arrested Rogers searched his truck and home and found multiple weapons and clips of ammunition, several KKK and Confederate flag patches and Klan literature in the car’s glove compartment, according to Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor. She added that one of the patches was for a local KKK chapter that Rogers admitted to being the leader of. ~ per MSN
The police search of his truck also produced numerous ammunition magazines and weapons.
Two of the protesters that Rogers hit with his vehicle testified in court against the Klansman. A third victim was identified only as John Doe. In addition to posting to Facebook Live on his way to the BLM protest, Rogers also posted a second time – after he drove through the protesters.

In that second video, ABC 8 News in Richmond quoted Rogers as saying, “They [protesters] spread like cockroaches,” he said. In other social media posts shown to the judge, Rogers made comments like “Black lives splatter.”
When police searched Rogers’ home, they came up with a KKK robe, a “Klan Bible,” KKK accessories, a large KKK “White Power Flag” and additional weapons.
Rogers is scheduled to be back in court on September 14 to face those remaining felony charges.
