Heather Locklear arrested for domestic violence, her boyfriend later arrested for DUI
Actress Heather Locklear, perhaps best known for starring in iconic TV shows like the original “Dynasty,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Melrose Place” and “Spin City” was arrested around 10 p.m. on February 25 in Thousand Oaks, California, when deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Summit View Drive regarding a domestic disturbance, according to USA Today. A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Capt. Garo Kuredjian, said that when deputies arrived she was uncooperative and, “there was visible evidence that Locklear had battered her boyfriend, which makes the offense a felony.”
The 56-year-old actress also became combative with first responders. “She was kicking at and pushing our deputies,” according to Kuredjian. Locklear was transported to a local hospital where she was medically cleared and then booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence plus suspicion of three misdemeanor counts of battery against a police officer, according to Fox News.
Locklear was released after posting $20,000 bail.
The longtime actress has struggled with substance abuse in recent years. She was also slightly injured in a vehicular accident in Thousand Oaks this past September.
Wonderwall reports that hours after Locklear was arrested, her allegedly battered boyfriend, Chris Heisser, was arrested for DUI. Heisser was pulled over by CHP around 12:43 a.m. on Monday morning when officers noticed him driving very slowly on the freeway. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.
Locklear will be in court to face charges on March 13.
