Hobe Sound manslaughter suspect Jared Diaz arrested in Jacksonville
Law enforcement officials have been looking for 30-year old Jared Alexander Diaz since November 27 in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred in Hobe Sound, Florida. And on December 2, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) shared some photos of Diaz’s arrest after they caught up with him in Jacksonville. Deputies said that they’d been tracking leads on their wanted man ever since the stabbing went down.
The arrest took place late at night with the assistance of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, MCSO Warrants Unit and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s K-9 unit.

Martin County Sheriff’s Detectives immediately began tracking leads and setting up surveillance in areas that Diaz was reportedly hiding out. Finally, detectives located Diaz and took him into custody, but not before he jumped out of a window and tried to flee again, only to be apprehended by a highly skilled Jacksonville K-9.
Diaz was charged with manslaughter and will be transported back to Martin County to face those charges.
Following his arrest. The Sheriff’s Office expressed their thanks, “to everyone who helped us track and capture Diaz, especially to the K-9 that waited outside of that window in anticipation that Diaz would try to run again.”
