June Shannon, a.k.a. Mama June, infamous reality-TV star from the “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo” series, has been indicted by the Grand Jury In Macon County, Alabama, on charges of felony drug possession.  Indicted along with the 40-year-old Shannon is her current boyfriend, Geno Doak.  Those drug charges date back to an incident that went down at a gas station in Alabama when the two were embroiled in a domestic dispute.

In March, the “Honey Boo-Boo” star was arrested along with her boyfriend, Geno Doak, on suspicion of drug possession following a domestic dispute. Details about what drew police to the gas station were not released at the time. Doak, 43, has a lengthy criminal history that includes arrests for theft, burglary and criminal damage to property. The couple has been dating for three years.  ~ Fox News

The Grand Jury slapped those felony charges on Mama June and Doak after arresting officers discovered crack cocaine and a glass pipe on her person. Shannon and Doak were also charged with possessing paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, according to TMZ

Excerpts of the indictment lodged against Shannon and Doak were shared by People.

“The Grand Jury of Macon County charges that before the finding of this Indictment, June Shannon, alias June E. Shannon, alias, whose true name is otherwise unknown to the Grand Jury, did unlawfully possess a controlled substance, to-wit: Cocaine.”

“The Grand Jury further charges that before the finding of this Indictment June Shannon, alias June E. Shannon, alias, whose true name is otherwise unknown to the Grand Jury, did unlawfully possess with intent to use to inject, ingest, inhale or otherwise introduce into the human body, drug paraphernalia, to wit: a pipe.”

“Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo” enjoyed four seasons on the TLC channel before being cancelled – after it was revealed that, “Mama June’s then-boyfriend Mark McDaniel, served 10 years in prison for molesting her then-8-year-old daughter, Anna–one of Honey Boo Boo’s sisters”, according to Fox.  The reality show also chronicled Mama June’s alleged drug use.  Toward the end of the series, Shannon’s family staged an on-air intervention in which Shannon’s daughter, Honey Boo Boo, a.k.a. Alana, broke into tears when confronting her mother.

“Mama, I would love to come home and stay with you — tell you about my day, but I can’t do that because I’m scared,” the 13-year-old, whose real name is Alana Thompson, said in a preview for the show.

Yahoo! Shared that Honey Boo-Boo and her sister are both estranged from Mama June and have been ever since their mother has been romantically linked to Doak.

If convicted on their felony drug charges, both Shannon and Doak could be looking at years behind bars.
