House catches fire in Vero Beach with no-one inside but the five family pets
Deputies with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office along with personnel from the Indian River County Emergency Services Department responded to a house fire in the 1300 block of 24th Avenue in Vero Beach, Florida, earlier today.
Residents were not home but responders were advised that five pets were inside the burning home. Deputies were able to make entry and save the pets.
Responders not only had to deal with a house fire, but also the searing hot Florida heat. The temps reached 91 degrees today in Vero Beach with a heat index of 101.
Great job, guys!
