Incarcerated Florida woman solicits other inmates to kill her family members and an Assistant State Attorney
On March 28, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, headquartered in Kissimmee, Florida, released word about a Central Florida woman who, while already an inmate at the Osceola County Department of Corrections, who was attempting to solicit other inmates incarcerated at the corrections facility to murder her family members – and also take out an Assistant State Attorney. The Sheriff’s Office reported that they caught wind of the murder-for-hire plot back in December 2022.
Fox 35 in Orlando reported that detectives were able to obtain evidence to link Tureygua Inaru, 29, with threatening her family members. Along with the threats, Inaru used social media platforms and other online sources to stalk the Assistant State Attorney prosecuting her cases.
According to WESH, Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez said that the 29-year-old inmate was originally arrested for aggravated stalking and threatening to kill former coworkers. And once she got settled in her prison home, she began trying to get her fellow jail mates to kill her family and an assistant state attorney.
“Once she got to the jail, she befriends her cellmates and starts talking about wanting her parents, her grandparents killed, that she would pay them up to $50,000 saying they were very wealthy and she gave the address,” Lopez said.
But instead of following through with any murder plans, the solicited inmates informed a prison guard about Inaru’s intentions, which included making the murders “look like a robbery and how to get away with it.”
Although already incarcerated, an arrest warrant was granted and Inaru was charged with three counts of Solicitation to Commit Murder. She was also charged with Cyber Stalking in regard to her e-mailed death threats to the Assistant State Attorney.
Inaru’s next court date is scheduled for May. She’s currently being held on zero bond.
