Jane Doe cold case anniversary reward: Do you know this woman?
Yesterday, Florida’s Indian River County Sheriff’s Office shared the haunting image of a woman whose remains were discovered twenty-three years ago in Vero Beach; and more than two decades later, we still don’t know the identity of this individual, and she only goes by the designation of being a Jane Doe.
Background: On June 22, 2001, witnesses spotted the body of an unidentified adult female floating in a canal in the 12000 block of County Road 512, in Vero Beach.
The woman was dressed in blue pants, a white undershirt and a blue button down shirt. More than 20 years later, we still know this woman only as Jane Doe and law enforcement officials are using her cold case anniversary and the offer of a reward to try and help give a name to her face, and some closure for loved ones who are still missing her and wondering why she has gone missing for all these years.
According to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, if you have any information that leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.00. Please call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-273-TIPS.
