Actress Jennifer Lawrence of Hunger Games and X-Men: First Class fame, is still feeling tortured over nude photos of her that were leaked online seven years ago. Those photos were part of a massive hack that included personal photos and information posted online in September 2014 that included about 100 celebrities, “predominantly made up of female stars and included Rihanna, Kate Upton, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne and many more,” according to Yahoo!.

Speaking in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence said: “Anybody can go look at my naked body without my consent, any time of the day.

“Somebody in France just published them. My trauma will exist forever.”

“I feel like I got gang-banged by the f***ing planet – like, there’s not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me.

“You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can just pull them up on their phone. That was a really impossible thing to process.”

In October 2016, one man was held accountable for his involvement in the hack that still haunts Lawrence today.  According to Buzzfeed, Ryan Collins, then 36, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to federal prison for a felony violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.  But the damage to the personal lives of stars like Lawrence and Kirsten Dunst was already done.

Collins accessed at least 50 iCloud accounts and 72 Gmail accounts, most of which belonged to female celebrities, prosecutors said.

The photos eventually made their way to websites including 4chan and Reddit, where they quickly spread.

With all of her theatrical successes, Lawrence appeared in a few films that may have been fan favorites, but were also box office clunkers like Passengers, mother!, Red Sparrow, and Dark Phoenix.  Those disappointments prompted her to take a break from acting for a while.

“I was not pumping out the quality that I should have,” she told Vanity Fair recently, ahead of her comeback in Netflix’s star-studded disaster comedy Don’t Look Up. “I just think everybody had gotten sick of me. I’d gotten sick of me.

“It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right. If I walked a red carpet, it was, ‘Why didn’t she run?’… I think that I was people-pleasing for the majority of my life.  ~ Digital Spy

Now, Lawrence is back in action, starring in the sci-fi thriller Don’t Look Up alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and a star-studded cast that includes Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, Chris Evans, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Streep.  Don’t Look Up is scheduled for theatrical release on December 10 and should be streaming on Netflix by December 24.

Lawrence says she’s happy with her new film, even if she got paid less $$ than co-star DiCaprio.

This September, Lawrence announced that she is pregnant with her first child.  The 31-year-old actress was married to Cooke Maroney on October 19, 2019.  Congrats to the happy couple.
