Kawasaki motorcycle driver dies in head-on crash with SUV in Bel Air
Police in Maryland are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday evening in Harford County.
The driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle involved in the crash, identified as 37-year-old Jeremy Burris of New York, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical service personnel. The driver of the second vehicle, a Chrysler Pacifica, stayed on the scene.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on May 22, troopers from the Maryland State Police in Bel Air responded to the intersection of MD Route 22 (East Churchville Road) and Schucks Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, the Chrysler was traveling west on MD Route 22 and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Schucks Road. At the same time, Burris was traveling east on MD Route 22 when he crashed head-on into the Chrysler.
The road was closed for more than two hours following the crash. According to the State Police, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
