Police in Georgetown, Kentucky, arrested a teacher from Royal Spring Middle School in Georgetown on Monday after it was alleged that the teacher, Alexandria Allen, 25, was having sex with a former teen student she was tutoring. Following her arrest, Allen was charged with three counts of third-degree rape.  Although Allen was just arrested this week, the rape allegations against her initially surfaced in October 2020 when the student’s mother discovered nude videos and photos of the teacher with her son on her son’s cell phone, according to People.

Georgetown police say that the alleged rapes occurred between March and October of 2020.  During that time frame, Allen was employed as a teacher at Royal Spring Middle School and was hired to tutor the boy – who was an eighth grader.

The arrest warrant alleges Allen first met the 15-year-old boy when she was in a position of authority or a position of public trust, reports LEX 18.

When police interviewed the 15-year-old, the teen confirmed to investigators that he did have sex with his 25-year-old teacher on multiple occasions.  After the allegations against the teacher surfaced, the boy’s mother told LEX 18 that, “I was disgusted because you’re supposed to be helping him, and she wasn’t helping him at all.”

The sexual encounters between Allen and her tutee allegedly occurred at three separate locations in 2020, including Georgetown’s Hilton Inn.

WDRB in Louisville reported that at her court hearing this week, the teacher’s lawyer entered a not-guilty plea on Allen’s behalf.   The judge imposed a $2,500 bond and ordered that Allen have no contact with the teen.

Allen, who has no prior criminal record, will be back in court on February 2 for her preliminary hearing.

Police in Georgetown said that additional charges against the teacher could still be filed.
