Lady grifter arrested for defrauding and stealing from the elderly
On April 7, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office released word that their deputies arrested a Naples, Florida, woman on charges of exploiting elderly victims, stealing more than $100,000 from them in the form of jewelry, cash and new cars. Lynn Marie Keller, 65, was arrested in Monroe County on April 5 on a Collier County warrant on charges relating to crimes against the elderly and grand theft from a person 65 or older, among others.
Keller’s charges stem from incidents reported in 2019 when deputies learned that jewelry and personal banking documents had been stolen from an elderly victim.
Deputies traced the crimes to Keller, who they also learned had forged a victim’s name on a new vehicle, transferring the title to herself as a “gift.” Keller also transferred funds from the victim’s account to her own account, and forged checks in the victims’ names.
Keller has been booked into the Monroe County Jail where her bond was set at $150,000.
The Sheriff’s Office said their investigation is ongoing.
