Lawyer and her client-lover charged with murdering client’s ex-girlfriend and her parents
On April 8, the Okmulgee County District Attorney in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, filed charges against two people in the September 7, 2019 triple homicide in the city of Beggs.
Barry Titus and Keegan Harroz were charged with three counts of murder each, plus burglary charges. Prosecutors said that the victims, Tiffany Eichor and her parents, Jack and Evelyn (Kaye) Chandler were found dead in their home, each shot several times with at least two different caliber weapons by someone who had kicked in the front door.
Keegan Leah Kelley Harroz, 38, a lawyer out of Oklahoma City, was defending Barry Roland Titus, 40, in a case involving Titus’ ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Eichor, 43, when Tiffany and her parents were shot to death in their Beggs’ home in 2019.
According to The New York Post, Harroz fell in love with Titus, “then allegedly helped him execute his ex-girlfriend and her parents to try and bury a domestic violence case against him, according to prosecutors.”
Harroz and Titus were already in jail on firearms charges when prosecutors announced first-degree murder charges had been filed against the two on April 8.
Court documents state that prior to the triple murder, Titus had been charged with beating Eichor so severely that she needed to spend days in the hospital. She had a protective order against him. A surveillance video showed two people went to the victims’ home the night of the murders and parked near the home in a car similar to one owned by Harroz.
The two people, one obviously a man, who was very tall and a person much shorter and smaller walked toward the house. The video stopped when the assailants, identified as Harroz and Titus, cut power to the home at 3:04 a.m.
Investigators say they found a ball cap near where the vehicle had been parked and say DNA was a match for Titus.
Investigators were alerted to the gruesome crime scene after a family member went to Eichor’s home and stumbled upon the bodies. That same family member told authorities that Eichor had been “having problems” with her former boyfriend. ~ Oxygen
Before the murders were carried out, a client of Harroz, identified as Jose Uribe, admitted to planting a bag of what he thought was meth at the Chandler’s home because Harroz wanted revenge against a woman in the house who was testifying against Titus. That client also told investigators that Harroz told him to inform the drug task force that drugs were being sold out of that home.
Harroz was charged with witness intimidation and that charge is still pending against her.
Reportedly, Harroz’ brother in Texas called law enforcement and turned over an AR-15 rifle he suspected had been used in the triple homicide in Beggs, but declined to provide any more information.
Investigators later learned Titus and Harroz had bought that rifle from a man and both of them had test-fired it on his property; and they also test-fired another AR-15 rifle they brought with them, along with their own ammunition. The bullets found from that test-firing were a match to those found at the crime scene.
Both Titus and Harroz were already in federal custody after they both pleaded guilty to federal gun charges. Now, they both also face three counts of first-degree murder and a felony burglary charge.
