On April 15, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, headquartered in Shalimar, Florida, shared the news that back on April 10, Michael Todd Ronna was found guilty by an Okaloosa County jury of two counts of using a computer to facilitate or solicit a parent, legal guardian, or custodian to consent to the sexual conduct of a child.

In a successful undercover sting operation, the 28-year-old Ronna had reached out to an undercover officer posing as the father of a 10-year-old girl on a social media application. Messages were exchanged for several months, during which Ronna reportedly asked to “rent” the 10-year-old child for sexual contact. Search warrants revealed the social media account belonged to Michael Todd Ronna and the accused child predator was taken into custody.

Ronna’s sentencing is scheduled for May 22 before the Honorable William Stone.

The case was investigated by the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) division of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
