Man murders three adults and one child after his girlfriend wouldn’t give him her stimulus check
Malik Halfacre, 25, has been accused of shooting and killing four people after his girlfriend would not give hm her stimulus check. The four victims were found shot dead in their Indianapolis, Indiana, home following the shootings which occurred on March 13.
Gunned down by Halfacre following an argument over the stimulus money were three adults and one child, ages 44, 35, 23, and seven. A fifth shooting victim, Halfacre’s girlfriend, survived the onslaught of bullets.
The girlfriend, who was shot and hospitalized in critical condition, alleged that Halfacre took the couple’s 6-month-old daughter with him when he left the scene, the affidavit said. Police said Tuesday the girlfriend was stable.

The argument over the stimulus money began the day before the shootings. Halfacre told his girlfriend, Jeanettrius Moore, that he wanted half of her $1,400 stimulus check. Halfacre was the father of Moore’s youngest of two daughters.
According to Moore’s family members, the argument went like this:
She had just got her money, and he wanted half of her money.
“She said, ‘No, you don’t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You don’t do anything.’
“He said, ‘I really want half.’
“She said, ‘I’ll give you 450. Take it or leave it.’
“He said, ‘I’m gonna get that money.’
