Marion County Sheriff’s Office asks for citizens’ help in locating female BMW car thief
On November 15, Sheriff Billy Woods of Florida’s Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) celebrated his office’s “Wanted Wednesday” by announcing that his deputies are looking for 28-year-old Alexandria Simone Walker. According to the Sheriff, Walker is a thief and wanted for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Organized Fraud.
Woods went on to report that on October 11, Walker went to Baseline Auto Care Center in Ocala wanting to “purchase” a BMW. They filled out all the paperwork, and she presented a cashier’s check for the total amount plus a $100 tip. When the owner went to deposit the check, they were informed it was fraudulent.
Walker told the Baseline Auto Care Center, best known in the area for their full service auto repairs, that she would return to the business to pay for the vehicle – but she never followed through with that commitment. The BMW was then considered to be stolen.
Deputies eventually located the BMW, and during a search of the vehicle they found printers, blank checks, and an iPad in the trunk.
Now, Alexandria, we know you don’t like paying for things, but it is time to pay the piper. If you don’t turn yourself in, our citizens will. ~ Sheriff Billy Woods
The Sheriff then asked the community to help, “get Alexandria off of the streets before she swindles anyone else.”
According to The Ocala-News, earlier this year, on March 30, Walker was arrested on outstanding warrants for uttering a forged instrument (felony) and petit theft over $100 but less than $750 (misdemeanor). She was released from jail the same day on $3,000 bond.
