Marvel, Sony announce new action-packed trailer and a release date for ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’

Just today, Marvel.com announced that Brooklyn’s one and only Spider-Man will be returning to the big screen as “Miles Morales swings back into action in the latest action-packed trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.” And that action-packed trailer was released today,
After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Originally, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was scheduled for an April 8, 2022 release, but got pushed back to an October 7, 2022 release, “due to pandemic-related box office performance fears”, according to Space.com. Unfortunately, this latest venture in Marvel’s multiverse saga got pushed back again with a new release date now scheduled and coming exclusively to movie theaters on June 2, 2023.
This latest and animated installment in the Spider-Verse saga is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, with a screenplay by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham.
