Yesterday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office missing person detectives’ division issued a plea for the public’s help in locating an autistic teen who was last seen at his school just before noon on Monday, October 7.

Jack Brown, 16, attends Deerfield Beach High School, located at 900 S.W. 15th St. in Deerfield, Florida, and was last seen on the school’s campus around 11:45 Monday morning.

Police reported on Jack’s physical description and who to contact with any information

Jack is of medium build, has brown hair, blue eyes, is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a brown “Southpole” T-shirt, dark grey cargo shorts and dark blue Adidas sneakers.

Anyone with information on Jack’s whereabouts is asked to contact BSO Missing Person Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268 or the BSO Regional Communications at 954-764-4357.

Happily, we just learned that Jack has been found safe.

CBS News in Miami reported that Jack’s family had just moved to South Florida. They also said that Jack has “no sense of direction,” and that the boy didn’t have a phone or any money with him when he went missing.

No word yet on where or how Jack was located. BSO just issued a release stating that “Jack was located early Tuesday morning (Oct. 8) and has been reunited with his family. “
