On December 14, the Snow College Police Department announced that they were searching for a missing Snow College student, 19-year-old Madelyn Allen, who was last seen leaving her residence at Snow Hall, located at 155 East College Avenue in Ephraim, Utah, at 9:22 p.m. on December 13. Security footage showed someone believed to be Madelyn leaving the lobby carrying a plastic bag and wearing a white fleece jacket, a dark skirt, and flat shoes.
Madelyn’s parents initially became concerned for their daughter’s welfare after receiving an early morning text message from their daughter’s phone that read “I Love You!” The diligent parents contacted their daughter’s cell phone subscriber who notified them that “the 7:20 a.m. text was sent from Loa, Utah which is 87 miles from Ephraim where she was last seen,” according to ABC News.
On December 18, Fox News reported that police and Snow College had announced that Madelyn had been found – and that she was alive.

Madelyn was rescued after the authorities pinged her cell phone and managed to determine her exact location. That ping led police to Brent Brown’s parents’ house where Madelyn was discovered “naked and tied while being covered in coal” in the basement of the residence, according to MEAWW. Madelyn reportedly met her kidnapper / rapist on an online bondage group chat, according to an affidavit.
Brown picked Madelyn up at Snow College and drove her to that house owned by his parents, where he allowed her to send the “I Love You!” text to her parents before taking away her phone. After her rescue, the young victim told police that Brown raped her multiple times in the same day against her wishes. Brown told police that the sex was consensual and was part of the bondage role-playing.
Following Madelyn’s rescue, Snow College expressed their appreciation in a press conference where they thanked everyone that contributed to finding their missing student.
The Snow College community is deeply grateful that Madelyn Allen has been found and is safe. We will be honoring the family’s request for privacy as they help Maddie to heal and will refer you to their social media pages for any further updates.
