Eight days after 34-year-old Kathleen Moore was reported missing on November 30 and reportedly last seen on November 29 around 1 a.m. outside her boyfriend’s house on Carmel Avenue in New Port Richey, Florida, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) held a press conference to announce that Moore’s 30-year-old boyfriend, Collin Knapp, had been arrested in connection with Katheen’s disappearance – and murder.

Only a few days ago on December 5, the sheriff’s office announced that they were still searching for Kathleen, describing her as being approximately 5’9”, weighing around 120 pounds and that she had black hair with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long black shirt, black jeans and black shoes.
Kathleen lived in Largo and was a mom and student who was soon to graduate and begin a career in nursing, according to Fox 35 in Orlando.
The next day, December 6, it was announced that Sheriff Chris Nocco would be holding a news conference at 8 p.m. that night to discuss an arrest made in connection with her disappearance and ultimately, her murder.
It was at that news conference that Nocco announced Knapp’s arrest and that he had been charged with Kathleen’s 2nd degree homicide.
Discussing his investigation into her disappearance, Nocco said that although normally very active on social media and communicative with friends and family, Moore had gone silent after the early morning hours of Monday, November 29. It was after she missed work and school, that friends and family reported her missing.
During the investigations into Kathleen’s whereabouts, blood and other DNA evidence was located, which FDLE’s biology lab identified as Moore’s. This, along with inconsistent statements from Knapp led to probable cause for his arrest, which was done yesterday afternoon just before 4 p.m.
Police discovered bloody clothes belonging to Knapp in a dumpster where he works at Harold Seltzer’s Steakhouse in New Port Ritchey. Although accused in Moore’s murder, Knapp is refusing to tell officials where her body is located, according to a report by Law and Crime.
Knapp has 10 felony arrests, and 9 misdemeanor arrests since 2004, Nocco said. This includes a domestic violence case not involving Moore, the sheriff said. ~ Law and Crime
PSO continues to search for additional information in this case. Anyone that has information in this case is asked to please call 727-847-8102, option 7.
If anyone has seen these pictured cars between Monday, November 29 at approximately midnight and afternoon of Tuesday, November 30, please contact the sheriff’s office.
The cars are a black 2006 Cadillac CT6 with Florida tag Z917XC and a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with bed cover with a Florida tag QXLT69.
The sheriff’s office also included Knapp’s booking photo.
