Naples traffic stop ends in meth bust for woman already out on bail for dealing fentanyl
On January 13, Florida’s Collier County Sheriff’s Office Deputies recovered a trafficking amount of methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics during a traffic stop they conducted on Thursday evening. The driver of the vehicle, Rebecca Resnick, 39, of Foxglove Lane in Naples, is now looking at multiple felony charges, including methamphetamine trafficking 14 grams or more, possession of fentanyl, and possession of oxycodone.
Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, deputies pulled Resnick over for a traffic violation in the area of Airport-Pulling Road and Poinsettia Avenue. Deputies saw narcotic paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search.
At the time of her arrest Resnick was out on bond for a prior fentanyl trafficking charge, according to Newsbreak. Deputies arrested her during another traffic stop on November 12, 2022, after they found 17.7 grams of fentanyl inside her vehicle, along with other drugs.
During her most recent arrest, Deputies confiscated 19.7 grams of methamphetamine and two grams of fentanyl. They also found oxycodone, buprenorphine and methadone. According to NBC 2 News, deputies said Resnick was uncooperative and resisted their attempts to take her into custody.
“Collier County is a safer place with these drugs off the street and this individual back in jail,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said.
