Naples woman arrested after stabbing her boyfriend multiple times in his leg, butt and back
On May 16, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office headquartered in Naples, Florida, announced the arrest of a 41-year-old woman who is now in the Collier County jail after detectives say she stabbed her boyfriend multiple times during a domestic incident in Golden Gate on Tuesday.
“This arrest is the result of terrific police work by our detectives who quickly determined the suspect gave a false account of what happened and connected her to this violent crime,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said. Rambosk also praised fast-acting deputies who were the first on scene and rendered first aid to the 44-year-old victim, including placing a tourniquet on his leg, until paramedics arrived. The victim was flown by medical helicopter to a trauma hospital.
Jerica Netaye Foresyth, 41, initially told deputies that the victim was attacked by a man at her residence on 55th Terrace Southwest following a road rage incident at about 2 p.m.
Detectives canvassed the neighborhood for possible camera footage of the incident. The canvass turned up video footage which showed Foresyth brandishing a knife during an altercation with the victim in which she slashes a tire on his vehicle.
Through their investigation, detectives determined Foresyth stabbed the victim in his leg, buttocks and back. She was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm or permanent disfigurement and criminal mischief.
According to public records, Foresyth is a resident of Naples, Florida.
