Nicole Martinez: Teen kidnapped at gunpoint in Florida rescued in Virginia
An 18-year-old girl and her parents were kidnapped at gunpoint outside of their Pembroke Pines, Florida, home on January 17 just after midnight. The kidnapper, Jaddier Sanchez, 37, was known to the family through their teen daughter, Nicole Martinez.  Sanchez forced all three victims into a stolen 2007 red Dodge Ram pick-up truck and then drove the family around to various banks to withdraw money from the ATM’s.
Sanchez then drove his kidnapped victims to Belle Glade in Palm Beach County where he freed the parents and left them stranded on the side of the road. He drove off in that stolen pickup truck – but didn’t release 18-year-old Nicole Martinez, driving off with her against her will.
By 5:30 a.m. on January 17, the Pembroke Pines Police Department and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office had been alerted to the kidnapping and were working collaboratively with the FBI and other law enforcement partners to apprehend Sanchez and recover Nicole.
Early in the search for Sanchez and Nicole, police investigators said that Sanchez had ties to Florida’s Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
“We do believe that the longer Nicole stays in contact with the suspect, the more harm she is going to find herself in,” said Captain Adam Feiner with the Pembroke Pines Police Department. “So, if anybody sees the victim, the suspect or the vehicle they are urged to call 911 immediately.” ~ MSN
On Monday morning, Sanchez and Nicole were spotted in Alexandria, Virginia.
According to Pembroke Pines police, they were notified at 12:40 a.m. Monday by the Virginia State Police that Nicole Martinez and her alleged abductor, Jaddier T. Sanchez, were found in Alexandria driving the 2007 Dodge Ram.
