No criminal charges yet for OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney who stabbed her boyfriend to death
A popular OnlyFans model, Courtney Clenney, reportedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in the Miami, Florida, luxury apartment they shared, according to an April 8 report. The stabbing went down on Sunday, April 3.
Influencer Courtney Clenney, 25, called 911 that Sunday evening after plunging a blade into Christian Obumseli, 27, her lawyer, Frank Prieto, told The New York Post.
Obumseli died after being transported to a local hospital.
A video, obtained by TMZ, was apparently taken moments after the incident and shows Clenney handcuffed in a black bra and white pants sitting on the floor and being interviewed by police as two dogs mill around the chaotic scene. You can also see that video on YouTube.
Clenney and her boyfriend had a history of loud arguments according to residents in her Miami apartment building where police often had to come and intervene; and Clenney’s lawyer told the police that she stabbed Obumseli in self-defense after he allegedly grabbed her by the throat. Police confirmed that a physical altercation between the two was evident prior to the stabbing.
While Clenney was being held at police headquarters, authorities there said she threatened to kill herself, a threat that led police to have Clenney “Baker-Acted” and hospitalized where mental health professionals could evaluate her well-being. As of this writing, there have been no reports of the model having been arrested or charged with any crimes.
Just days after the stabbing, and after being released from a mental health facility, Clenney and her dad were depicted in a cell phone video leaving the lobby of the Grand Beach Hotel after another guest there demanded that they leave, according to Fox News.
“You should go. Yeah, you should go,” the guest, who goes by the Instagram username @nnenna_xoxo, tells Clenney and her father in the video.
But just hours ago, Obumseli’s family said that they want Clenney to be arrested and held accountable for her boyfriend’s “murder,” according to CBS News in Miami.
Obumseli’s family said that he was a soft-spoken man and the idea that this was warranted is unthinkable.
“We have no cause to believe that this was a case of self-defense. Toby was raised with a, by a very strong family with strong morals, strong values, he does not come from that,” said Karen Egbuna, a cousin of Obumseli.
Over the last five days, a GoFundMe for Obumseli’s family has raised over $71,000 with a goal of reaching $100,000. The family’s GoFundMe page begins by saying, “… Christian Toby Obumseli was murdered in Florida a week before his 28th birthday.”
As of April 8, police said that the investigation into Obumseli ‘s stabbing was still under investigation.
