Officials ask for help locating endangered man missing from Deerfield Beach

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate 27-year-old Alexander Acevedo missing from Deerfield Beach.

According to detectives, Acevedo was last seen at around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, near the 3500 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard. Acevedo weighs around 180 pounds. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and has black hair and brown eyes. Acevedo has a cross tattoo on his left arm.

According to his family, the man experiences mental illness which requires medication. 

Anyone with information on Acevedo’s whereabouts is asked to please contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or at the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764- HELP (4357).
