Officials seek help finding 16-year-old girl missing from Oakland Park

On February 9, Florida’s Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit issued a request to residents seeking our assistance in helping find a 16-year-old girl who went missing from Oakland Park.

According to detectives, Tamya Renee Nelson was last seen around 7:10 a.m. on Monday, February 5, near the 200 block of Lake Pointe Drive in Oakland Park. Officials described the youngster as standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall.  Tamya weighs around 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to please contact Broward Sheriff’s Office Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
