(July 23, 2023) On July 22, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) posted to their Facebook page that 15-year-old Sophia Isabella Roach is still missing. On July 12, the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD,) headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, announced that Sophia was last seen on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, around 9:30 p.m. in her home, located in the 5600 block of Whitney Mill Way in Rockville, Maryland. The child has not been seen since.
Sophia told her mom that she was going to bed and gave her a kiss goodnight. Later that evening, her mother went to check in on her, and noticed that all of her belongings were still there, but there was no sign of Sophia. She has not been seen or heard from since that evening on July 11.
Sophia is 5’ 2” with brown hair and brown eyes. Her family has been heartbroken since she vanished, and they just want to know if she is okay. Sophia has never gone missing before, and her family’s concern for her safety grows with each passing day.
“She’s my baby, my only child. I just want her to come home safely,” said mother Jennifer Roach. “If anyone knows anything, please call the police. Sophia, if you’re listening, I love you and I’m here for you.”
Roach’s best friend, Kayla Jones, said she last spoke to Sophia on Tuesday afternoon, and they made plans to hang out the next day. She said Sophia did not seem upset or troubled by anything. ~ Claten Network
