Ohio man trying to trade girls on Craigslist charged with child rape
Nicholas White, 29, from Cheviot, Ohio, was arrested and charged with raping a young child under his care and accused of trying to trade that child on Craigslist for another child with whom he could have sex. White’s child sex crimes span two states, Ohio and Kentucky, according to Cincinatti.com. Fortunately, the person White was communicating with in Kentucky regarding trading girls was an undercover police officer.
The Attorney Generals’ Offices and police departments in both states coordinated their efforts to take down this child rapist and predator. In Ohio, White was charged with first-degree rape with a minor under the age of 13 and gross sexual imposition. In Kentucky, White was indicted on three counts of unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sex.

While White was in electronic contact with the undercover agent in Kentucky who was posing as a parent considering trading his daughter for sex, White told the agent that he was performing regular sex acts on the two young girls under his care in his apartment building. The two young victims were not White’s relatives.
White told the undercover agent in graphic sexual detail what he wanted to do with the agent’s daughter after the two traded their girls.
The conversing between White and the undercover agent went on for about one week as White described the sex acts he was having with the youngsters under his care. Court papers stated that after his arrest, he confessed to police that he touched the girls’ private parts. One of the children told police that White had penetrated her.
Police in Cheviot said they had no prior problems or contact with White and arrested him on the evening of February 16. A spokesperson with the Cheviot police said that they confiscated White’s phone and computer and took the girls to safety.
WKYT quoted Andy Beshear, the Kentucky Attorney General, as saying, “I applaud the efforts of our cyber investigators, the Ohio attorney general’s office, Cheviot and Cincinnati police departments for working together to rescue these children and deliver justice to someone who is accused of actively sexually abusing a child in his own home.”
Officials are saying that because White’s sex crimes involve two states and multiple children, there could be more charges to come. White is currently being held in the Hamilton County, Ohio Jail on a $1.5 million bond.
