Ormond Beach cleaning company owner arrested after stealing from home of client
On February 8, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office reported that the owner of a cleaning company headquartered in Ormond Beach, Florida, had been arrested on charges of grand theft, fraud, and multiple counts of dealing in stolen property. The culprit was stealing from at least one of her clients and was taken to task by officials for her misdeeds.
33-year-old Catherine “Katie” Schulz, the owner/operator of Clean and Proper LLC, was arrested last week after a customer reported several items missing from her home.
The stolen items included jewelry totaling $18,500 in value, a pair of adidas sneakers, and medication.
A detective tracked down the stolen jewelry at a Port Orange pawn shop and obtained video footage showing Schulz pawning the items.
Schulz was arrested on January 29 and has since posted $10,000 bond.
