Paul Rudd to play dual roles in new Netflix comedy series
A new comedy series scripted for Netflix, “Living With Yourself,” stars actor Paul Rudd as a man struggling with his life who undergoes a novel treatment to become a better person, and finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version – revealing that his own worst enemy is himself. Rudd will star in season one of this fresh and inventive philosophical comedy that asks the question: do we really want to be better?
Directing the eight-episode series for season one are Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, who also directed the Oscar-nominated “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Battle of the Sexes.” Rudd will be starring in dual roles throughout the run of “Living With Yourself” with Netflix promising to announce additional cast members in the near future. A release date in 2019 is anticipated for the new series.
Although Rudd has focused primarily on the big screen, his most recent TV stint also came on Netflix, when he reprised his role as Andy in the “Wet Hot American Summer” reboot. ~ per Variety
Rudd, a former “Friends” co-star, is currently starring in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp” which he also co-wrote. The film has grossed $430 million at the global box office and will open in China, Japan and other markets later this month.
