Philly fan goes berserk in Florida following Super Bowl loss, breaks into fire house, throws cleaver at firefighter
Many Philly fans are still reeling from the Eagles’ Super Bowl loss to Kansas City last Sunday. But most fans took the loss in stride, even considering the questionable and controversial “holding” call that went down in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Then there was the one Eagles’ fan that was hanging out in South Florida for Super Bowl LVII who took things a little too far when his team lost the big game. 25-year old Edward Dalasandro from Philly was arrested Sunday after breaking into a fire station in South Florida, ransacking bunk rooms and stealing cash, a uniform hat and some knives.
Dalasandro, who resides in Philadelphia, took the Eagles’ loss to a whole other level Sunday night. He broke into the Hutchinson Island Fire Station in Stuart, Florida, around 10:00 p.m., ransacked the bunk rooms, urinated on the carpet, and stole $126.00, a uniform hat and some knives. When firefighters confronted him, he threw a meat cleaver at them.
Firefighters were able to contain him until Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Philadelphia has a history of fans trashing the City of Brotherly Love after major sporting events – whether their teams win – or lose.
There were some incidents of vandalism, but for the most part the crowds were not rowdy.

District Fire Chief Tom Hornbostel told reporters that Dalesandro went through all the firefighters’ lockers, opened them up, ransacked them and “that’s where he stole the meat cleaver, other knives, and cash.”
He then went into a hallway where he literally bumped into a firefighter.

The Chief added that the firefighters escorted Dalesandro outside and detained him until law enforcement arrived.
Dalasandro was taken into custody, charged with armed burglary, aggravated assault on a firefighter, and theft. He was transported to the Martin County Jail, and held on $120,000 bond where, “the Eagle was officially grounded for the second time in one night,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.
