Police seek help identifying suspect that attacked Edgewater teen
On January 16, police in Anne Arundel County reached out to their community to report that back on January 6, a serious assault was committed against a juvenile in the area of Sweet Leaf Lane and Triton Court in Edgewater, Maryland. Now, police are seeking our assistance in identifying and locating the attackers.
The assault occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The suspect was described as a male aged 14-17 wearing a black hooded jacket. He was accompanied by an unknown white female with a blonde ponytail, also believed to be between the ages of 14-17. The suspect fled towards the wooded area behind Sweet Leaf Lane with the unknown female.
- Detectives are encouraging families in the area to speak with their school-aged children about the assault since it is known that other juveniles were in the area when the assault occurred.
- Detectives are also asking everyone in the area to check their surveillance footage for anyone matching the descriptions above on January 6, 2025, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m.
