Police seek public’s help locating man who repeatedly stabbed teen in Halethorpe
Baltimore County Police have identified the suspect who stabbed a 14-year-old boy in Halethorpe, Maryland, on January 24. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating this suspect who is described as an individual with a lengthy criminal history.
Just before 10 p.m. on January 24, police responded to America’s Best Wings in the 3500 block of Washington Boulevard in Halethorpe for a stabbing. The investigation determined that a 14-year-old boy and an employee were outside arguing over a purchase.
The suspect walked up to the victim and employee and became involved in the dispute, which led to the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital and survived his injuries.
Police identified 30-year-old Robert William Taylor, Jr. of the 1900 block of Griffis Avenue in Baltimore City as the suspect responsible for stabbing the victim. Taylor fled the scene after stabbing the teen. On January 25, police obtained an arrest warrant for Taylor and charged him with first- and second-degree assault.
Taylor is 5’8″ tall, 165 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos covering his neck.
Officer Jenn Peach, of the Baltimore County Police Department, said that Taylor and his stabbing victim did not know each other prior to the assault.
According to online court records, Taylor has a lengthy criminal record including a guilty plea for failure to comply with a peace order in 2015 and guilty pleas for theft in 2016 and 2017. He also served jail time for a theft scheme, before being released last November. ~ WBAL-TV
