Thanks to a tip received by the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office, police in the suburbs of Guadalajara, Mexico, have recovered 45 bags of human body parts that most likely include the remains of several young missing call center personnel.  According to media reports that began surfacing on June 2, the bags of human remains were found in a ravine at the bottom of a deep slope.  There’s no word yet on the identities of the victims, or how many individuals are included in the 45 bags of body parts.  Local media reports that the bags contained both male and female body parts.

The Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office investigating the deaths said it has preliminary information that the body parts “match the physical characteristics of some of the young people missing employees of the call center.”

The young call center workers that went missing last month were all in their 20s and 30s; and Reuters reports that an eighth person that could be connected to the missing office workers is now also missing.  Reuters went on to quote Security Minister Rosa Icela Rodriguez as saying that initial investigations showed that the call center workers “were carrying out some type of real estate fraud and some type of telephone extortion.”
