Puppy tossed from moving vehicle during California police chase
Police in Los Angeles were engaged in a car chase of a suspected carjacker / attempted murderer on Friday. While trying to elude police, an innocent puppy was tossed out of the suspects’ vehicle during the midst of that chase, as reported by MSN.
According to an April 8 Los Angeles Police Department report, on April 7 around 12:12 p.m., the LAPD’s Southeast officers initiated a vehicle pursuit of a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted murder and carjacking that went down on March 26, 2023, in the area of 101st Street & San Pedro Street.
The pursuit of that suspect transgressed through multiple cities within Los Angeles County, eventually ending in the City of Carson at Vermont Avenue and Belson Street. At one point before the chase ended, the suspects being chased wrecked and ditched one vehicle and jumped into another, according to Fox News in Los Angeles.
Also during the police pursuit, a puppy was placed in a designer bag – and then tossed from the suspect’s moving vehicle. Miraculously, the pup emerged unharmed and was rescued by responding LAPD officers.
The puppy is now in the care of South L.A. Animal Services, where it is presently being held pending an investigation into the abandonment concern that was noted during the pursuit.
