Remains found feared to be those of missing Florida girl Taylor Rose Williams, mother arrested and charged
Regarding the search for missing five-year old Taylor Rose Williams who was reportedly last seen by her mother at her home in in Jacksonville, Florida, around midnight on November 6 – our worst fears seem to have come to fruition. Yesterday, police in Alabama, where Taylor and her mom have relatives, reported that with the help of multiple law enforcement agencies, “search teams uncovered human remains in a wooded area between the cities of Linden and Demopolis, Alabama,” – about 100 miles west of Montgomery.
Although victim identification is pending, officials appear confident that the remains belong to Taylor.
Only a few days into the search for Taylor, police in Jacksonville began suspecting that something wasn’t right with Taylor’s mother, Brianna Williams. Police said that after she changed her story several times, the mom stopped cooperating and talking to them. Police also soon realized that no-one had seen Taylor alive for months and began asking the public to please come forward if anyone had seen Taylor with her mother, between Jacksonville, Florida, and Alabama in the last few weeks.
Jacksonville police also distributed a description and picture of the mother’s black 2017 Honda Accord.
Yesterday, the story into Taylor’s disappearance broke wide open when it was reported that Brianna Williams was hospitalized due to an apparent suicide / drug overdose. Reports of the mother’s arrest soon followed.
The mother of 5-year-old Taylor Rose Williams has been arrested and charged in connection with the girl’s disappearance, authorities said Tuesday. Hours before police announced the arrest, investigators found remains that they believe to be Taylor in rural Alabama.
