The Sun Sentinel also reported that Black was shot dead within walking distance from her home and that hundreds of spectators were found standing in the area following the gunshots.  BSO has partnered with Transinclusive Group for the investigation into Black’s murder.  At this time, BSO homicide detectives said they are making progress in the investigation and do not believe that Bree Black’s murder was a random act.

Following her shooting death, mourners gathered a few days later in Pompano Beach to commemorate Black’s life.
