Search continues for Mia South, 14, missing in Harford County since February 28

The search continues for 14-year-old Mia South, who hasn’t been seen since February 28 in Harford County, Maryland.
On March 2, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) sent out a notice to area residents seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining information regarding the whereabouts of Mia. She was last seen at approximately 2:30 p.m. on February 28 in the area of Patterson Mill High School in Bel Air, Maryland.
Officials have described Mia as a 14-year-old, female, 5‘ 6“ tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Mia was last seen wearing a brown plaid button down shirt with black leggings.
Yesterday, March 5, the Sheriff’s Office provided an update saying that their detectives have been working diligently over the last several days to safely locate Mia.
It is now known that Mia walked to the Festival in Bel Air from school. An adult known to Mia, who has been interviewed, gave Mia a ride to the area of Deerfield Elementary. Mia was last seen on video walking towards Harford Commons. ~ HCSO
The Sheriff’s Office added that they have interviewed many of Mia’s friends and are still attempting to find her. There is no evidence to support foul play, human trafficking, or abduction. It is believed that Mia is still in Harford County. Officials have asked the public to continue to share and send in tips.
