Baltimore County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that may be involved in the shooting murder of 19-year-old Diamonic Reyshann Arca-Jones in Parkville, Maryland, last October. Police were called to the area of Taylor Avenue and Beverly Avenue near the Dunkin’ Donuts store for a shooting around 7:22 p.m. on October 20, 2018. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Arca-Jones lying in the roadway on Beverly Avenue with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

CBS News in Baltimore quoted Lt. Andrea Bylen as saying that, “He was laying in the street and was suffering from a very serious, life-threatening gunshot wound.”

Arca-Jones was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.  The teen once attended Parkville High School and was in the Junior ROTC Program.

On January 4, Detectives have obtained surveillance video of a vehicle that may have been involved in this crime. The video depicts the vehicle driving across the parking lot of Pappas Seafood Carry-Out at the corner of Taylor Avenue and Oakleigh Road just after the shooting.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about this vehicle, its owner or occupants, or any additional information regarding the shooting death of Arca-Jones to contact Homicide Unit detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

Original Police Notice from October 21, 2018:

The Baltimore County Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that left one man dead near Taylor Avenue in Parkville last night.

Police responded to a call for shots fired around 7:20 p.m. to find a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound lying in the roadway in the 7800 block of Beverly Avenue near Taylor Avenue. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. He is identified as Diamonic Reyshann Arca-Jones (19) of the 7800 block of Beverly Avenue, 21234.

The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit are continuing their investigation this afternoon to determine the motive for this shooting. Anyone who may have information about the suspect in this crime is asked to call police at 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
