Seven arrested in Vero Beach on drug possession and sales charges
On August 29, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) in Vero Beach, Florida, reported on several arrests the department made after receiving numerous complaints from the community in reference to a problem residence in Oslo Park. The address of the problem residence was 1375 18th Avenue Southwest in Vero Beach.
Deputies had already responded to this residence 14 times during this year. Call types include recovered stolen vehicles, drug overdoses, disturbances, searches for wanted subjects, and suspicious person complaints.
The homeowner, Christopher Sette, rented rooms to multiple narcotics dealers and users throughout the year which caused quality of life issues in the community.
Due to the complaints Special Investigations Unit detectives began a narcotics investigation and were able to secure a search warrant for the residence.
On August 25, the IRCSO executed the search warrant resulting in the arrests of the following individuals:
Chance Kenyon:
- Sale of Fentanyl
- Possession of Fentanyl

Rachel Crane:
- Sale of Fentanyl
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The sheriff’s office reported that Crane was already out on bond for possession of a controlled substance. That bond has been now been revoked due to these new charges.

- Maintain a Public Nuisance Home
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Heather Mahaffey:
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Mahaffey had previously been released from jail and was out on bond for maintaining a public nuisance home. Her bond has been revoked due to these new charges.
WPBF reported that the four individuals indicated above all have a court date scheduled for October 1, except for Mahaffey, who is scheduled in court on September 22.
Unrelated to the above search warrant, three additional subjects were recently arrested as a result of separate narcotics investigations.
