Sheriff’s deputy and one civilian shot outside of Time Nightclub in Ocala

Earlier this morning (December 10), the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in Ocala, Florida, announced that at approximately 2:15 a.m. today, a shooting occurred outside of Club Time, located at 9355 SE Maricamp Road in Ocala. During the shooting, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy was shot. He was transported to the hospital and is currently in surgery. One civilian was also shot and transported to the hospital.

The MCSO Major Crimes Unit responded and is continuing to investigate.

The Sheriff’s Office asks that if you were in the area and saw anything suspicious or if you have any information about who may be responsible for the shootings, to please call 352-732-9111.

If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP.  Callers who provide information that leads to an arrest will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, according to WFTV.
