According to TMZ, the NYPD responded to the scene and arrested 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, charging him with a felony because the phone was used as a weapon. MSN reported that Malvagna, a New Jersey resident, was released without bail after being arraigned today on assault, aggravated harassment, and other related charges.
According to a court complaint, Malvagna told a third party he tried to hit Rexha with the phone at the end of the show because he thought “it would be funny.” ~ MSN
On Monday morning, the Grammy-nominated, multiplatinum-selling artist took to social media posting her picture showing the damage to her face and singing, “I’m good, yeah, I’m feelin’ alright,” she sang in a TikTok video, taking a line from “I’m Good (Blue),” her recent hit with DJ David Guetta.
A bruise and a bandage can be seen above her eye in her social media post. Rexha is currently performing in her “Best F’n Night of My Life” tour and has shows remaining in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Orlando and Houston.
