Stuart man charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of 14-year-old girl

(April 3. 2025)  Yesterday, Florida’s Stuart Police Department detectives arrested a 47-year-old man in connection to a report of a lewd and lascivious incident involving a 14-year-old girl.

That man turned out to be an undocumented immigrant and has been identified as Apolinar Lopez Honorato, an illegal resident of Stuart.

Background: In the early morning hours of March 29, Stuart Police Officers responded to a call from a mother who received some disturbing information from her 14-year-old daughter. The teenaged girl reported that she was touched inappropriately by the 47-year-old Honorato.

After officials conducted their investigation, Detectives established probable cause to arrest Honorato, charging him with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16 years of age.

Additionally, investigators discovered that Honorato is in the United States illegally and has been deported in the past. United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been notified of his arrest.
