Tragic news coming out of Seoul, South Korea, as multiple media outlets are reporting that popular South Korean pop star and actress Sulli was found dead inside her home south of Seoul earlier today.  One report stated that the lifeless 25-year-old was discovered inside her home in Seongnam after her manager went to her residence after not being able to reach her by phone. That same report cited police on the scene as saying there was no evidence of foul play in the pop star’s death.

Sulli was a beloved child star who embarked on her road to fame starting back in 2005 when she was a young teen.

Sulli’s legal name is Choi Jin-ri. She began her singing career in 2009 as a member of the girl band “f(x)” and also acted in numerous television dramas and movies. ~ Fox News

Although no suicide note was found at her home, The Washington Post is reporting her death as a suspected suicide.  The young star was not shy about sharing her mental health issues and confessed to suffering from a panic disorder and social phobia that go back to her days as a child star.

She also said that she was the target of vicious cyberbullying.

She was viciously attacked online in 2014 after paparazzi photos revealed she was dating an older rapper.

She would also often appear without a bra, saying she felt more comfortable without one, something that some Korean women found liberating but others savagely criticized.

In June, she became a co-host of a TV show entitled “The Night of Hate Comments,” in which celebrity guests discussed their reactions to hateful comments, malicious rumors and cyberbullying. ~ The Washington Post
