Suspect sought after stabbing man outside Publix, attacking him with a baseball bat and machete
Yesterday, Florida’s West Palm Beach Police Department released photos of one of two suspects they believe attacked and seriously injured a man outside of a Publix grocery story on October 26. Police said that a physical altercation went down on Wednesday outside Publix around 3:30 p.m. at the Southdale Shopping Center parking lot in the 800 block of Southern Boulevard.
During that altercation, a 49-year-old man was attacked with a machete and a baseball bat by the suspect depicted in tis article’s photographs. The victim remains in critical condition in the hospital.
The 49-year-old victim was stabbed and beaten by the attackers and was later transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.
According to West Palm Beach Police PIO Mark Jachles one of the assailants fled the scene on foot while the other attempted to leave in a blue Jeep but ended up ditching the vehicle in the parking lot before fleeing. ~ 850 WFTL
Police did not share any motive for the attack. It is unclear if the suspect and the victim know one another other, according to WPBF.
