‘Suspicious death’ in Fort Pierce now a murder investigation
Shortly after 9 a.m. on the morning of September 21, detectives with the St. Luci County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3300 block of South 7th Street in Fort Pierce after an individual stopped by to pick up his employer for work = but found him deceased inside his home. Shortly after the detectives arrived at that residence, the Sheriff’s Office initially classified the death as “suspicious.”
By 3 p.m. yesterday, Sheriff Ken Mascara updated the public to say that following an initial investigation, his office determined that the individual’s death had been ruled a homicide. The murder victim, a male, has not yet been identified.
The Sheriff then asked for the public’s assistance in gathering any and all information relevant to that homicide.
We are asking the public’s help in identifying anyone whom they may have seen between 8:30 Wednesday night and 9 a.m Thursday morning. If you live in the area and notice anyone or anything suspicious on your home security cameras, please share this information with detectives by calling 772-462-3230 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 772-273-TIPS.
