Tennessee mom arrested and charged after viral Facebook Live video shows her abusing infant
A woman from Chattanooga, Tennessee, was arrested after viewers watched in horror and called police as the bad mom posted a now-viral video to Facebook Live showing the mother laying in bed, holding an infant in one hand, and blowing smoke in the baby’s face while bench-pressing the infant in a twisting motion.
A Chattanooga police officer was sent to Tybresha Sexton’s apartment after several people saw the video and filed a complaint. The responding officer said once he was inside, he could smell the “heavy odor” of alcohol on her breath and saw several empty liquor bottles lying around. ~ NBC News
“At one point, she can be seen shaking the girl, while viewers urge her to stop,” according to The New York Post. “She gone kill that baby,” one person wrote.
“[I] didn’t want that fu–in’ baby anyway,” Sexton allegedly told responding officers, according to her arrest affidavit shared by WTVC.
Sexton was charged with aggravated child abuse, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was being detained at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on a $100,000 bond. Sexton’s baby is currently with the child’s grandmother.
The bad mom is due back in court on October 4.
