‘The Flash’ movie gets August streaming date for the small screen
The Flash 2023 movie release which hit the big screen this past June to mixed reviews, mostly negative, has been awarded a streaming debut date and will land on Max Friday, August 25. The Warner Bros. / DC venture starring Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster did not live up to expectations during its initial film release. The Flash reportedly debuted in theaters to a $200 million loss at the box office for Warner Bros.

Insiders report that The Flash needed to take in more than $400 million during its initial theatrical release – but fell short by the previously mentioned estimated $200 million figure. The good financial news is that the superhero flick did “really well” at the video-in-demand platforms which helped to recoup some losses, according to Fandomwire.
The Flash Movie – Synopsis: Worlds collide when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Superheroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
In addition to Ezra Miller starring in his premier solo superhero film, the cast also includes Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons – and a few surprises (no spoilers here.)
