Three charged in January shooting murder of Baltimore man James Moore

Police in Baltimore arrested three repeat offenders in connection with the murder of 31-year-old James Moore who was found shot to death back in January near the intersection of Morris Road at Franklintown Road. Investigators announced the arrests of 38-year-old Ronnie Harris Jr. (repeat violent offender), 33-year-old Janay Barksdale (repeat offender), and 40-year-old Morgan Reed (repeat offender).
On March 11, police reported that they transported all three suspects to Charm City’s Central Booking Intake Facility. All three are being held at Central Booking without bail.
Ronnie Harris has been charged with 1st Degree Murder, while Barksdale and Reed have both been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Retaliation, Accessory After the Fact to 1st and 2nd Degree Murder, and Retaliation and Witness Intimidation.
Background:
On January 31 at approximately 1:51 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to Morris Road to investigate a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they observed an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as James Moore, was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

According to records kept by The Baltimore Sun, there have been 67 homicides reported in 2022, with 14 murders occurring as of this writing in the month of March.
