Three people, two of whom are previously convicted felons, are now in jail after detectives with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) searched their residence in East Naples, Florida, and came up with large quantities fentanyl, cocaine and meth – enough to charge the three with trafficking in the deadly narcotics.  The drug bust went down yesterday, April 22.

Detectives with the Vice and Narcotics Bureau executed a search warrant at 5245 Sholtz St. around 5:40 a.m.  During their search, the investigators found enough of the powerful opioid fentanyl to kill 20,100 people. To put that into perspective, the City of Naples has a year-round population of around 22,000 people.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration says 1 kilogram of fentanyl has the potential to kill 500,000 people. Being exposed to just a few small grains of fentanyl could have deadly consequences.

The search turned up:

  • Fentanyl – 40.2 grams
  • Cocaine – 62.6 grams
  • Methamphetamine – 137.6 grams
  • Marijuana – 68.4 grams
  • Oxycodone HCL -3.4 grams

Deputies also found numerous items of narcotic paraphernalia including digital scales and glass pipes with narcotics residue.

Three people were inside the residence during the search warrant and claimed ownership of the illegal narcotics.  Ana L. Gonzalez, 52; Kaitlin Loryn Delosier, 25; and Louis Gonzalez, 53, all of 5245 Scholtz St., were arrested on multiple narcotics charges and booked into the Collier County jail.
